U.S. OPEN 2026, Frisco, Texas, August 25-30

I'm at Danny K's Sports Bar & Billiards, requested ESPN2 on any TV instead of ice stair climbing and other bullcrap. Bartender put on ESPN2 and it's table tennis. 30+ nineball players in a tournament, some would watch but ESPN2 here is not showing the nineball.

What exactly does that mean? That he holds opinions that you don’t agree with so he’s polarizing as a result? Really?

Well, I said yesterday that Joe is a polarizing figure (when we were speculating about the police presence). I do think he is - some love his views, some don’t. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t welcome him expanding the audience and sharing his love of the game.

Danny K is here! Now I’m wondering why I didn’t get a picture with me and Danny…

FSR leads 7-5.

It's really hard to bet against FSR, I haven't really seen him in a finals where he lost. If he makes it to the finals, he usually wins, like the 2022 US Open and 2023 World Pool Championship. Some players are notorious for losing in the finals, FSR is not one of those people.

The last time he was runner up was the 2016 European Pool Championship and 2017 Austria Open.

Is Joe Rogan a Christ like figure who I'm not allowed to he even mildly critical of?
Of course you can!
I appreciate his love of the game but that doesn't mean it's appropriate for him to commentating throughout the duration of the match.
Fair point, and he’s not. He is not a professional commentator and it tells. MR just wanted him on for the opening.
Especially given that he's a polarizing figure
Irrelevant. He’s just talking about pool. If he brings more attention to pool, on net, and it benefits the sport and it’s players, I’m good with that.

Most people, in my experience, would be polarizing if people knew what they really thought. I would be polarizing. I bet you would be too.

As such, I don’t say much publicly!

We are a big, diverse country. Someone is always bound to be offended.

Tight match. No telling who wins.

He didn't soft break that one...

1 ball down, 4 balls past the head string.
Technically 5 balls past the head string, but the 4ball came back down to the side pocket.

Well, you’re dancing around it. We all have views, everyone. So are we all polarizing?

It’s amusing that terms like this are never used to describe anyone but someone with conservative leaning views and it’s done to imply a bad connotation to having those views, It reeks of projection.

Meanwhile you never hear anyone with conservative leaning views refer to those with liberal views as polarizing, when many of those views promote aberrant behavior befitting a reject of the island of misfit toys. Interesting 🤔
