No really, guys).

Plus he got to spend several more days on the lake fishing instead of on a plane!

It was pretty tough. He ran into Vogel and Gomez who were both shooting very well.

There's probably some truth to this. I'd imagine he did go fishing around Denver if he had time.

Agree 100000%. Its amazing how many people feel they have to be amateur 'press detectives' who have to rate everything the guy says. Is it that important to them?? Bottom line is the guy has played a LOT lately and not going the land of rice-n-knockoffs sounds like a good move to me. Go to Denver then hit the lake. Nice gig sounds like to me.

Clearly SVB is not the only person unfamiliar with US tax laws. See here, here, and/or here. From the IRS:
  1. A credit reduces your actual U.S. income tax on a dollar-for-dollar basis, while a deduction reduces only your income subject to tax,
  2. You can choose to take the foreign tax credit even if you do not itemize your deductions. You then are allowed the standard deduction in addition to the credit, and
  3. If you choose to take the foreign tax credit, and the taxes paid or accrued exceed the credit limit for the tax year, you may be able to carry over or carry back the excess to another tax year.
