niels can beat anyone and he proves it again and again. no shame in losing to niels. but some of shane's misses were really poor and he seemed to make a habit of scratching off two rails.

Josh has already won three of them and had a silver at the World 10ball, when he lost the final to Ko Ping Chung. FSR also has a silver at the World 10ball, losing the final to Eklent Kaci a few years ago. Darren Appleton also has three of these but never won the World 8ball.
Let's add that of these three, only Josh has won the WPA World Teams Championship (2023).

Tough event to sweat from New York. Most matches end by early morning here. I haven't seen much of it so far, but I intend to fix that.
These Predator events are creating zero buzz.
Rather than burning money on these events, Predator would be better off sponsoring the WNT Tour and letting the experts Matchroom host events and promote.

Well, give it some time. The 10-Ball event isn't over until Sept. 26.
The Predator Pro Billiard Series is a different offering, and rather than comparing them, I'd rather celebrate that we have both WNT and Predator offering great pro pool content. It's a good time to be a pool fan. It's no secret that I attend a lot of WNT events, but this year, I knew I wanted to check out the new Predator offering, so I attended the Las Vegas Open and it was excellent. I am leaning yes for attending the December Predator PBS event in Jacksonville, too. The fan experience at a Predator event is not quite up to the standards of a WNT major, but the pool offering is just great.
Predator has a solid management team and I'm sure they are putting their money where they think it will have the biggest impact. Predator's PBS is a new offering, still finding its footing, but I feel they have hit the ground running. This week, Predator products will get great visibility in Vietnam, and this will surely generate a lot of sales there and elsewhere. Those sales will be the measure of whether Predator gets its money's worth in producing this event, not how many AZB pages it generates.
Of course, perhaps you are right that AZB will be less engaged, but it isn't easy for an event played in Asia to generate maximum fanfare in America, where the time difference makes watching the matches live very difficult.

Obviously, Shane has spoken of how much a World 10ball title would mean to him, so we all get it. What a story it would be, too!
