Jet lag?

How often do pro players attribute poor performance to jet lag? Do players do things to mitigate it? Has any correlation been established by how well players from certain regions of the world do based on where events are held?

arriving earlier seems to be a winning concept

I've flown across multiple time zones dozens of times (nine zones between the U.S. and the PI), and I've figured out the best way to overcome jet lag.

Don't eat any meals during the flight! Liquids only. Maybe a small snack or energy bar is okay. Our body's digestion cycle is very important in this regard. Eat at least 2-3 hours prior to travel.

I know it's not easy but you can do it. It will shorten your jet lag to one day or less.

Fly at night and sleep on the way, hopefully arriving in the morning. You will adapt to the new time zone more quickly this way.

I think I depends on how long you plan on being there and how much of a time difference there is. I gone to places and just kept on the same schedule and had no jet lag. Why switch everything around for a week for a 5 hour time difference.
