Streaming is of less quality of the high definition monitors we have today. It's needed more than ever.Wasn't the original reason to change colors that the 90s TVs couldn't really display enough colours? With modern TVs and monitors it shouldn't be necessary anymore. Changing colours for a good reason, such as making it easier for the colourblind are a good idea, but what is going on today is mainly marketing and the desire of the sponsors to stand out. I'm OK with all this as long as it's making sense and doesn't confuse players. For me, the purple 5 ruined watching certain matches now. We play with centennials and the aramith sets with the pink 4 and orange 5.
Thank god the guys in our club are too cheap to buy a new set when some company introduces a new set, maybe next time with a purple 7. Or an pale peach 5.
I wonder why nobody ever thought of grey scales. the darker, the higher the number.
I find that the current colors are making it easier to identify the balls.
