Hey guys, this case is produced by one of my friends who co-owns a factory in Taiwan. The company apparently sponsors players like Yang Ching Shun, Hsia Hui Kai and not forgetting Chao Fong Pang.

I was hoping anyone would like to order these Whitten-looking cases. They are available in a variety of colours, but there's no personalization option available, but they are of optimum build quality at a affordable price.

I know that there has been this cue case issue with the seller running off with the money but I just wish that if someone wishes to bring it up, please do so elsewhere. All I'm doing is providing back to the community an offer that I think shouldn't be missed, after what the community has provided to me.

These cases retail for roughly $240 without shipping for one case, so the more I order the cheaper it becomes, so $280 is the maximum price you pay provided there's only one case on order, otherwise it's less than $280 with minimum orders of 2 cases. It comes with side handle and shoulder strap with 2 pockets. They are available in smooth leather or printed leather. The one you see below is in printed leather(Click on image to enlarge).

I'm going to call this model a cream/brown combination. There are other options, like grey/black, red/black, black/black and sky blue/brown. For the second colours, there are only brown and black, which forms the bulk of the case, however I have difficulty making out the colours from the pictures I have, but so far there's only black and brown.

I'm hoping to have 10 cases ordered, before the first round is over. No money required till cases have arrived at my place. That's my guarantee to you buyers out there who are questioning my credibility, my references include thingie and cuesblues.

Have a good day.

And how much are they as a group buy price
We're looking at $210 to $200, but I'm not too sure. All in all you'll be paying less than the retail price stated if worse come to worst, expect only a $10 reduction.

I do understand that a Whitten of the exact same design and features cost $405 without shipping. This figure is retrieved from Whitten's website.

Update: Price has been wrongly quoted. $240 is for single case without shippping. Due to my mistake, I'll keep it at $240 shipped single case for the first round of orders if any.

How much does a case weigh, and how long of a cue can it accomidate?
Since the case is spring loaded, it can accomodate a 60" cue comfortably. As for a 61" cue, it doesn't look it'll fit one, but unfortunately i don't have a 61" cue to try it.

The case weighs heavy, evidence of the build. But however, I don't have the exact weight. I will weigh it down and post it tonight.

Is it just me, or does no one care that another American company is being raped by offshore pirates?

Not that I'm gonna get one of these but...seriously. Let's look at the prices of these American companies. $2k for some wood??? $500 for some pvc and leather??? Give me a break. I'll admit, I fell victim to it. I paid $400 for my wood. But I just can't justify spending another $400 on a case.

These off shore prices are just another example of market competition. Welcome to capitalism.

I guess I'm old fashioned. This seller, who I'm sure is well intentioned, is in Singapore himself, and the maker's factory is in Taiwan. When I get ready to consider a major purchase, I select between AMERICAN competitors if at all possible. I know I pay more, but I feel better knowing that an American worker keeps his job. I'll pay extra to support John Barton from this forum, Jim Murnak, Jack Justis, and Whitten.

I apologise to the seller, but sellers in another country running off with our money is only part of the equation. Our nation's economy and global competition is now even more critical. I BUY AMERICAN MADE...Tom

Commendable. Unfortunately my wallet (and I know I'm not alone) can't always handle American products.

I absolutely care. Whitten makes the most functional and protective case in the business IMO. I have a custom Justis also and love Jack's cases as well; but I like the Whittens better as an everyday case. I just ordered a brand new custom Whitten to match a Dave Kikel cue I just received. Both Jack and Joe Whitten are great to work with. You can call them and have a conversation about their cases and your design.

It makes me furious to see an EXACT rip off of a Whitten being offered without regard to the original maker. I just sold a lighlty used Whitten on AZB for $275 shipped. You can find good used Whitten cases for about the same $$$ as the rip off imports. If you are looking at purchasing one of the rip offs, do yourself a favor and look for a good used Whitten. I promise you will not be sorry you did.

It is one thing if the company wants to produce their own design of cases. Ripping off the Whitten design is a whole other story.

What gets me is he must put the American Manafacturer's name is the tag line. I think that is what prompts the feelings of ill will. Why not just advertise the case on it's own merits?

Whitten has stood up for me

I have owned probably six whitten cases and been very well treated by Joe and Dan. They charge a premium because they deliver a great case. Worth their price IMO. They have repaired a zipper on an old 80's case and have worked with me to keep the cost down on several very fancy customized case projects. They have also built me a new case and expedited its delivery after Fedex crushed my original package. Lastly, they are there at the other end of the phone and at all the shows to stand up for their product. I'm willing standing up for them now. It is OK with me for an overseas company to promote itself here...even to target a local manufacturer's product. Competition can be a good thing, but the Whittens have earned my business. I am not going to change loyalties over a few bucks and a product I can't check out first.

These cases are a TOTAL POS!!

Trust me - I made the mistake of buying one, primarily for storage.

Paid well over $200 for it and it was the single biggest mistake I have EVER made with ANY cue, case or other billiards stuff.

They are NOT EXACT COPIES!! They are made somewhat "similar" to a Whitten, but the construction is extremely poor. You squeeze the top a little and the sides will bend and meet - with very little pressure!

So these are not true "knock-offs" - much worse! All the pockets were crooked, the zipper sucked, really piss poor job. Any soft case will provide better protection.

These are sooooo bad, I couldn't ever sell mine! I mean, I couldn't even TRY to sell it - I didn't want my name associated with such a POS!! So when a local player bought a cue, I GAVE him this POS case for FREE! No way I would even take $20 for it.

Seriously, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Please note: I am not even addressing where they are made or who they are made by. That is somewhat irrelevant. It is the design, construction and quality of case that is piss-poor!

$240.00??? Are you kidding me?? Maybe, MAYBE $49.00 for one of these. If you're desperate.

But you can easily find a lightly used Whitten for under $300 - so why spend 85-90% of that on a piece of sheeeet that you can take your forefinger and thumb and make the 2 sides touch??

Stay away from this one, folks. You'll be glad you did.
