My experience was that the finish quality wasn’t great, meaning not as good as my Cynergy or older Revos and the gimmick of the interchangeable joint would come lose - similar to a dirty unblock quick release coming lose and rattling. personally, I’m not a fan.

Avid shafts are nothing like the old Cuetec SST shafts. The finish is more like that of their carbon fiber offerings and they play exceptionally well, especially for the price. Try one, they play great, I personally prefer it over the 314-3.

My money is on it being another Propel knock off, similar to the Air Rush, which doesn't have an all composite construction - only a carbon Fiber shaft. I've heard that they cut up a Propel trying to benchmark it.
