    10 ball rules

BCA/CSI Rules of 10 Ball are it is a Call Pocket game. If a ball is illegally pocketed, the incoming player has the option to shoot or require the the opponent to shoot again. The Call Shot/Call Safe rule is a rule that some tournaments have made up to try and take more luck out of the game...

    SVB's Next Tournament or Action?

Calm down! Taking some time off is important in any sport. With Shane's insane travel schedule, he needs to recharge. There are 25 Mosconi Cup points events in the U.S. this year. So far 5 have been played. Shane has played in one of them and won it. (Derby City 9 Ball) He presently sits...

VNEA Jumping rule or any other ruleset for that matter

This would be a foul under CSI/BCAPL Rules. It is using equipment for other than it was intended.

    Accu Rak alters rack check

Yes, by rule the non racking player has the right to check the rack and if unsatisfied can ask for a rerack. Player may be checking for straightness, or anything else the breaking player may have done to give himself a advantage on the break.

The biker fight in Waco made me wonder

Years ago a friend of mine invited me to play in a tournament in a nearby town. We got there and half the guys in the bar were bikers. I won the tournament and wondered if I would ever leave alive. Those guys all wanted to buy me beers and are good friends of mine to this day. They have...

    Southwest

Southwest cues are just too good of a playing cue for people to own dozens of them and just have them sitting around. It's a shame these cues aren't in the hands of players that would seriously enjoy them. Collecting a cue like this is like buying up a bunch of Mercedes and leaving them in a...

    Rubber Bumper or Not?

I took the rubber bumper out of my Southwest cue. I like the feel of the vibration without it and have better control.

    Hercek or Southwest

Never hit with a Hercek before, but I wouldn't trade my Southwest and the way it plays for any other cue. I have owned two Southwest cues and both are far and away the best playing cues I have ever played with.

    Chinook Winds Open 8 Ball - $17,000 Added - $10,000 First Place

Your website shows 74 paid entries in the Men's division and you stated previously that the field was expanded to 128 players. Doesn't look like much danger of filling up. Looks like you might get the 96 originally advertised. Going to be a great event guys and gals!

Should pro players play on 7ft table tourneys?

Answer: YES Pros should compete on all size tables. Many pros have commented that 8 Ball on a 7 foot table is way tougher and requires more skill than 8 Ball on a 9 foot table. Also, pros competing on a bar table helps connect them with their fan base which is mostly made up of amateurs who...

Missing players not earning Mosconi Cup points

All the Whiners about bar table tournaments being used as MC points events are just looking for something to ***** about. Calm down! Look at the top finishing Americans at the USBTC. Shane is still going to be on the team, doesn't matter what size table they are qualifying on. Skyler...

Another Bizarre Dennis Moment vs Shane

Under CSI Rules it is very clear about using a ball to measure with... Rule 1-3 (g) - You may only use your vision to judge whether the cue ball or an object ball will fit through a gap, or to judge what ball the cue ball would contact first. You may not use any ball, cue, rack, chalk cube, or...
