I got mine early last year, and they make a great cue at a good price, and he's also really nice to work with. I might try and post some pics if I can manage to take some decent ones with my camera.

I use medium/hard triangles on my playing cues . Because of all the posts here about layered tips I went to Talisman's website and ordered some, I haven't put one on yet but I'll make the switch in the next few weeks to see what the deal is with layered tips.
