3 cushion video defying physics. Sayginer

I bought the full exhibition tape from carom tv on semir sayginer. I was very impressed with the type of extreme english that one can obtain.

UNFRIGGINBELIEVABLE! I have a new reason to respect billiard players! What an exhibition. Thanks for the vid!

Thanks for the link! Those were great shots. I could have done without the music though. I wasn't sure if it felt like I was shopping at a grocery store or watching a porno.

See I am not the only one that thinks pool videos have porn music in them the industry needs to change that.

UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! What great shots!!

Sayginer has an unbelievable masse stroke, he can really juice whitey.

Keep in mind, however, that the playing conditions on 3C tables are different and more conducive to extreme english. I am pretty sure that Mike Massey is capable of putting similar spin on a ball on a 3C table, and I can't guarantee that Sayginer would be able to do the things Massey does on a pool table.

That said, those shots are unbelievable!

I have heard Massey enjoys 3C and plays a fair amount of it. I have never seen him play, but I would be a bit surprised if he could keep up w/ Sayginer in terms of 3C stroke/trick shots. But I doubt Sayginer could keep up w/ Massey on a pool table. Maybe I am wrong, but each guy is good enough at his specialty I think it would be hard for the other, etc...

I agree with you, each is probably the best at their specialty. Just wanted to point out that the reason you don't see shots with that amount of spin on a pool table is not because of inferior strokes, but because of different conditions.

all I got ...

All I got was the first shot, after that it just had pics of table
before shots, but no video of the actual shots.

Exactly right, Henho. Not only are the playing conditions different, but the cue used is different. The artistic three cushion player will generally use a stiff cue with a very small ferrule, enabling them to produce hits impossible with an ordinary cue.

All that aside, though, I've seen Sayginer perfrom live more than once and he's truly incredible. Like Massey, he also has the showmanship. Also like Massey, he can do a great show without using a cue. Finally, like Massey, he can do some really wild things just throwing the cue ball with his hands.

I am pretty sure Massey uses specialty cues for some shots that are a lot like billiard cues in terms of stiffness and ferrule. I don't know all the specs, but for some shots I very much doubt he is using a pool taper 58" 19.5 oz cue.
