    APA....How does it work?

RE: APA... How does it work? - 9' TABLES If this is a factor in where to move, I know the Clearwater, FL area has a number of rooms w/9' tables that host in house and travelling leagues, APA included. There is also another one in Chicago that does an in-house APA league on 9' tables. Can't...

BCA Rules question for 8 Ball

You can shoot it, but the table remains open, as you have not pocketed a ball in a called pocket (since you declared safety). Rule #2, and rule #10: https://www.billiards.com/article/official-bca-8-ball-rules Or even more explicitly, in the CSI / BCAPL 8 Ball rulebook, page 44: 1. Groups are...

Best Area in Florida for Pool

My recommendation is to move to Pinellas County (Clearwater area). You'll be on the coast, and you can follow rt. 19 up or down and find the following pool halls: Strokers - Palm Harbor: Strokers has an in house Straight Pool league, APA Masters, regular APA, and a Sunday night 10 ball...

Has pool ever got you laid?

    Visiting Chicago: City Pool Hall?

Food & Drink - Very good bar food, reasonably priced for the area, large portions. Tables - 6 9' Gold Crowns (Table one is shimmed and is the "owner's table", not necessarily open to the public), and 3 8' Gold Crowns. They keep the tables in pretty good condition. Important information - They...

How is the pool scene in Jacksonville FL?

If you're looking at FL, and pool is your primary reason, consider the Tampa/St. Pete area. Pinellas county (St. Pete side) in particular has Stroker's, which is where the US Amateurs have been held for the last 5+ yrs. Also, Stix Dunediin, Stix Palm Harbor, Family Billiards, CM's Place, The...

    14.1 League - Make-Up Games - Need Suggestions

I play in a league where we play makeups at whatever your current handicap is. For example, I'm playing a guy tomorrow that I was supposed to play 3 months ago (first week of season), and if I played him then, I would have gotten a spot of about 15 balls, going to 150. Now, I have to give him...

You Can't Run With Men if You Can't Take a Verbal Beatdown

Given the "2/3rds" statement above, would you then not want any seated president, EVER, to give an acknowledgement to team USA? For the past 30+ yrs, voter turnout has been under 55% for every presidential election, so we're already starting with 45% of the population NOT voting for whomever...
