I feel that CA bonds best with clean flat surfaces. When installing leather tips, like Ultraskins, I sand flat with 220, then apply a layer of CA. I let the glue soak in for a moment, spray it with accelerant then sand flat again before installing.
It all takes time. And when sanding care must...
I install tips. For most tips, I sand them flat before installing.
The Kamui Clear, Rhino Time Crystal and Caiden Fighter have flat glueing surfaces that install well without any sanding.
Are there other brands out there that don’t require sanding to be flat?

I have collected some Dufferins to make conversions that I no longer need.
I have both one piece and two piece.
Three are two piece green leafs.
PM your info and I will text or email pictures.
I have a "tulipwood" O'MIN cue. It may have been made in China, I really don't know. As a hobby cue maker myself, I can say that this cue is very well made. I believe it does have carbon fiber tubing in the shaft and it has a stiff hit. The wood is not actual tulipwood but is like Diamondwood...
I don’t know if this forearm qualifies as burl. It is from a very gnarly maple that I harvested. I stabilized it with black dye, I kept this cue simple, I was an experiment to see if I could make a built in telescopic extension.
I just received a gun drill from Kevin of Hiramo Cues.
It shipped quickly, exactly as advertised and the price including shipping was reasonable.
