a chuckle for the instructors out there!

I have been a member here for quite sometime, but rarely post. When I saw this thread I had to reply. I have fought this very issue several times over the course of 15-20 years of playing. 99.98% of the time that I am consistantly missing to one side; my head is not aligned. Move your head...

Scott Lee is a great Asset to the Sport

I was stranded in Kalamazoo with a day to kill and Scott not only recommended a great pool room, but also came and shot with me for over 2 hours. He is a nice guy and is extremly knowledgable. If anyone is looking for an A+ instructor that is willing to travel.....Scott is the man. In all...

How long does it take to see positive results?

I have had my table for about a year and a half and I thought I was a decent player when I got it. I jumped in and praticed for 4-6 hours every afternoon when I got home from work for the first 3 months and did not improve at all. Then I started winding down after work before I would begin...

    The next level...

Keep in Mind, this only in a race to seven. I have showed other people this rating and they said " I string racks together all the time", but that is in a whole night of shooting. To consistantly string racks together in a race to seven is more difficult.

    The next level...

This is about the best interputation of the system that I have found and agree with, but everyone will have thier own Ideas to dispute this;) This is an excerpt of an article by Bob Cambell in All About Pool magazine (December, 1997) giving guidance on handicapping nine ball players in a race...

    Your aiming technique

IMHO.....Almost all of the well known aiming systems work if you are playing normal speed with center cue ball, but Advanced players are rarely able to use these aiming systems with any success. Once you begin to move the cue ball around the table using english, the throw from contacting the...

    Sl7

I went to a poolroom to play in a tournament and the tournament had been cancled, but the APA had 9 Ball on that day and a buddy of mine needed someone to play on his team. So I started as a 4 and in 1 Month I was ranked an 8 and can't play on the team very much anymore because we can't stay...

Grandsons: Let them win one or beat up on them?

I have both a 4 year old son and a 7 year old that both play 9 ball. I am a fairly decent player, but I will spot either one of them ball in hand after each shot they make or I miss. The 7 year old will run out like this about 10-20% of the time after I break for him. The 4 year old will make...

    b player?

I found this on another site and thought that it was a very good representation of skill levels: This is an excerpt of an article by Bob Cambell in All About Pool magazine (December, 1997) giving guidance on handicapping nine ball players in a race to seven: D- Player >will not run a rack...
