Amazin Billiards in Malden (Boston), Mass.

If you live in Boston or plan to visit, the room I'd most recommend is Amazin Billiards in Malden. It has a 12' snooker table in its own room, four (?) carom tables, and plenty of pool tables. If you're looking for a classic pool hall, Amazin Billiards is it. Mazin Shooni, the owner, is a...

Instructors in the New England (Boston) area?

Roy Pastor is definitely someone to meet. He and I played in the same snooker league back in my pre-parenthood days. Roy's home room was and may still be The Billiards Cafe in Ayer. There's parking behind the Cafe (which is on the second floor of the building), and a commuter rail station a very...

Are there any good tutorial's on snooker ?

Check prices at AddAll.com for Holt's book. Or find it at World of Books. There are pricier copies at Powell's Books, which is a great place to visit if you're ever in Portland, OR. Portland has fewer snooker tables than it used to, but I hope the ones I have listed are still there...

FindSnooker.com still running after 12+ years

Oh, and @Bob Jewett: I'll finally implement the features you'd asked about, like finding the nearest room, sorting by zip code, etc. In some version after the initial release I plan to include links for books like the classic by Joe Davis.

where to play snooker in Canada?

Someone who emailed me with a new listing for a snooker table in the U.S. mentioned working on listings of snooker tables in Canada. Many years ago I had a few listings, but I'm not sure I'll find them. That was at least one computer ago. If you know of places to play snooker in Canada, please...

    Looking for decent, mid-priced cue

I really love my Mike Wooldridge 3/4 cue. After about a decade away from the game, I finally played again today. The cue has held up well. Me? Well... Here's Mike's website: https://handmadecues.com/ My cue, case, extension, and tips are all great.

FindSnooker.com still running after 12+ years

Egad. After another year of email piling up I finally updated the website today, by chance on the anniversary of the two most recent points in this thread. Thanks again to everyone for the updates, and for your patience. TLDR: I'm going to revamp the software that I wrote to maintain...

Got the updates, thanks. Will edit the site again tomorrow night. Wow, that's a snooker massacre. And I thought we might squeak past 400 known tables!

FindSnooker.com still running after 12+ years

With apologies to everyone (including Bob Jewett, of course!), I've finally dug out my old computer, caught up on email, and updated www.FindSnooker.com. There have been a number of closings, some openings, and some new discoveries, all of which were reported by players out there like y'all...

    Snooker in Colorado

@drsnooker has already pointed you to the list on FindSnooker.com for Colorado and other states. I'd suggest calling ahead and simply asking frank questions. And then give a table or two a try and see how it goes. On the site I don't post reviews. It's not feasible to keep up with it all. The...

    Snooker in NE Philadelphia

I'm perhaps a bit biased, but I'd say yes to a snooker table in Philadelphia. Definitely follow Bob's advice. He knows stuff.

FindSnooker.com still running after 12+ years

Once again, big thanks to everyone who has contributed to FindSnooker.com. It'll be 13 years old in August, if I'm not mistaken. https://www.findsnooker.com/ It's been a busy few years. Years since I last played anything except some half-hearted pool. And as some of you know, I don't update...

This evening I wanted to look up how old FindSnooker.com is, and the easiest thing was to just log in again. Howdy! I'm probably behind on some tables updates. Any new tables to report? I think there's a new place in California with twelve footers. And there are now a few more tables near...

snooker tables in Hawaii, Maine, South Carolina, Vermont, West Virginia, D.C.?

Any update on Crickett's? I remember finding that table when I was first setting up the website some years ago. I wish I'd had a chance to visit Crickett's; having a snooker table in a lunch room sounds great.
