Your 1st Cue, 30 Years Later

Bringing this back up as I just got back into pool recently. My first cue was a McDermott D4. I bought it in Rantoul Illinois in 1989, just outside the gates of Chanute AFB. Spent a lot of time at the pool tables during tech school and during active duty in the upper peninsula of Michigan. I...

    Simonis 860

Well, the installers came back today to redo the felt on the table. The bed of the table looks really good. The only shadows on the bed are at the center pockets. He mentioned that he can alleviate that shadow by removing the staple , but he said the curve of that pocket is sharp and requires...

    Simonis 860

Unfortunately, the guys that installed it are 11 year installers that do all of the best tables locally. I live in the Orlando area so when a special tournament is held here, these guys are the installers. They are from the only Olhausen dealer in the area and I guess the tournaments use...

Show us your HOME ROOMS !!

About a month old. Olhausen 9' Espresso color with Simonis 860 Olive felt. Haven't found the right light yet as this one doesn't cut it to the end of the table very well. I guess I need a 4 light or fluorescent tubes.

    Simonis 860

Hey all, I have a few questions about the Simonis 860 that we had put on our new table. I can see some inconsistencies in the color along the edges and around the middle pockets. Now, I thought this was a problem with my table and the way the cloth was installed until I saw a thread here...

    Custom Pool Room

Absolutely beautiful wood work. I want to do something similar trim wise, but don't have the tools. Florida doesn't provide for a basement, so no place to keep the tools. Oh well.

    McDermott Cue

Thanks for the input guys. I don't plan on replacing the D4. I'm looking to add to my collection. The new table came with four "Made in China" Olhausen labeled cues. Olhausen told me that they pride themselves on the tables being American made of all American materials, but the accessory...

    McDermott Cue

Hey all, I'm a new member with a McDermott D4 cue that I've had for 20+ years and a new Olhausen 9ft table. I have a couple questions that I will be posting about, but this one is regarding a McDermott cue that I have the option to buy. Can anyone tell me if the M64C is a good quality cue? I...

Happy St. Patricks Day To McDermott Cues

I contacted McDermott because I just purchased a new table and pulled my old D4 cue out of storage. I was looking to find out what model I had. I spoke with Toni who helped me locate it on their website. I'm from Florida and was driving to Minneapolis and Toni offered me a tour of the factory...
