Dymondwood cues are pretty expensive and rare due to the factory burning down. You might try Doc's in Spring Lake Park. I prefer leather tip for breaking. Try the jacoby break cues, or just wait until the dymondwood factory is up and running again.

I've had a j&j, bk2, plain McDermott, bunjee j/b, McDermott stinger, and have broke with my playing cue. The best breaker for me is my playing cue. I used a low deflection shaft, so I feel I'm more accurate with my aim point and thus transfer the energy better. Since I have one extra shaft...

I'd say it's all subjective. Since your arm is doing the stroking of the cue, it's about how the cue feels in your hands.

Pool is pool. Pros can still lose on bar tables. If a tourney is open to pro players, non-pro players can choose not to play. I, for one, like playing pros on the bar table. I think it evens the playing field a bit. The way I see it, I'm always the underdog, but I think I have a strong enough...

I used to carry a soft case for my one cue. It was nice and light. Then I ordered a longer custom cue that required a longer case. My custom case now is a 2x6 hard case. However, the lining started wearing out and the pvc piping is starting to become exposed and my cues can be heard rattling...

Good tip. My wife's cue's joint is starting to show some rust spots.

I'm thinking along the lines of IPT. It was a pretty good format, and it drew players from out of the woodworks with the prize money. It's just too bad pool doesn't have the same money as golf.

Just a passing thought...although there are "world championship" tournaments, if it's not feasibly accessible to everyone, is it still a "world championship"?
