I believe it was moved the first time by a mechanic and then leveled. Leveling is not my concern, but damaging the slate somehow if six guys just lift it and move it a foot?

Okay, so I checked the skirt. Sure enough, a piece of wood had fallen off the lip where the skirt screws in and the screw on the left was not getting any purchase. I drilled a new hole and reinstalled the skirt and voila! Problem solved. Thanks for your help. You guys are awesome!

I recently recovered my table and the head rail has a definite "thud" when a ball hits it. The rail bolts are tight. Did I forget something? Thanks in advance.

Where I live there are 9' Connelly tables. The pockets do not accept the ball properly and "rattle" often. If I recover the table, what pocket facings should I use and what thickness?
