Who would you bet the Cheese on? Jose vs. Efren!!

I have to agree with taking Efren in anything done on a pool table. Parica can't close out anything as of late (at least the largely publicized matches). Yet another reason to bank on Reyes.

How do you decide what length of cue is best???

I use 59" or 60" because of my "wingspan." A 58" just seems a bit too short. I know the criticism is that a longer cue means more deflection, but I do alright with a longer cue. No huge difference in my experience like some people make it out to be.

    Soft Hands

What does everyone do out there to keep there hands soft so the cue slides right through, besides using powders?

ugh, what would you have tried

I like slow rolling the cue ball to hit the five and lie close to the pocket. Looks like the two stripes in the middle of the table act as blockers to the ball closest to the side pocket. After that, just keep playing safe and make him deal with the eight ball blocking the corner and the 2 ball...

    Now that's one sharp cue

Only 150K. Give me a dozen.

I've been sharked by the best - video

I love it! My daughter is almost three. Instead of playing Star Wars while shooting I'm playing pretty pretty princess. As soon as she hears my case zip open I can hear her feet scatter across the floor. Nice run!

    Mike Sigel's Perfect Pool DVD's

I have Mike's older videos as well, and this one is a little better than the rest. The team teaching method works well. Highest quality production, as you would come to expect from Trudeau. I would spend the $60, if I were you, to see some new stuff. The first video is pretty basic, but it's...

When you go to a kind of Bad Pool Room what do you take with you.

Just don't even go! I don't really ever plan on going places like that. If I know I'm going to be there, I have a Brunswick two piece cue that came with my table in my house. It has a good tip on it so I take it from the rack and go.

Choice for my first custom Andy Gilbert vs Tim Scruggs

I would go with Gilbert as well. I have one I might be looking to sell soon and it has a great burl wrapless handle. I will post some pics of it soon in the cues section of the forum.

    Bakersfield pool hall

The Pool Table Co. is pretty good. They have about 2 tables only there and the felt is pretty nice. Not in a great neighborhood, though. If you want someone to play with or any food, go to Corner Pocket.

    Bakersfield pool hall

Cue Ball is still there. I really don't play there at all (especially since a couple of people were stabbed in the parking lot) but I see people there. My favorite would be Corner Pocket on Ming Ave. Take the 99 back south from California and get off on Ming Ave. Veer left so the offramp will...

Which cuemaker makes GREAT playing cues? How to search for cuemaker?

Depending on the style of cue you look, look at Gilberts or Darrin Hill cues. Both are great guys that make great, unique cues to your liking.

    Custom Case?

Justis and Whitten would be my pick. The workmanship is second to none. They both take tremendous pride in their work.

Looking for Whitten Case - 2x4 or larger

I got a great case from Whitten on ebay at a great price because of one small imperfection in the leather that nobody can see. Good deal!!
