A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

I’m still not entirely convinced that this is Jack’s new design, but hopefully we will find out if our detective skills were on point soon.

(BBC Co pool)

I don't. What was it? I'm not googling, 'BBC' at work. ;)
It was eight ball as introduced by the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company (BBC Co.) around 1908. It used eight reds and eight yellows along with a black. People figured out you could just play stripes and solids. Same colors as English eight ball (black ball, ultimate pool, etc.) but about a century earlier. The set was brought back briefly around 1980 when the BCA started running national league championships.

Great information. Thank you!

By the way, Bob, I misread your message at first glance…

I thought you wrote that you were 8 when BBC introduced the set in 1908.

Triball seems to have been on the market for at least five years, so I'm guessing it is unrelated to Jack.

So he's using the name "Triball" when there's already an existing product named Triball that's basically the same thing? I don't know what's going on.
