A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

Any private entrepreneur in this field is going to quickly realise that online message boards are a brutally tough crowd… and perhaps that dose of reality is no bad thing. I have seen folks lose an awful lot of money with similar ventures many times in the past.

That said, I always applaud those who try and sincerely wish Jack well and hope his project is a tremendous success.

It seems Jack has abandoned us as no longer useful.

.... I have answered questions ...
I must have missed the answers. ;)
We are contractually obliged to NOT reveal any fine details until all involved agree and when paperwork is finalised and we are ready to go. ...
A contract with themselves? The alternative is that the contract is with a major backer who is putting up a lot of money to get this thing started, but then they wouldn't have had a problem getting a few thousand balls from Aramith or Dynaspheres, especially if this looked like it could cause a lot of people to buy new sets of balls. Who remembers BBC Co. pool?

I guess because nobody signed up to promise to buy a set of balls they knew nothing about. Wasn't May supposed to be peak crowdsourcing time for this? I thought the balls were going to start rolling off the lines in July.

Who remembers BBC Co. pool?

I don't. What was it? I'm not googling, 'BBC' at work. ;)

If you’re correct Mark that would surprise me, sir. Tri-Ball has been around for a few years.

At least it has if it’s the same Tri-Ball I can recall… five reds, five blues, five whites and a black?

There is already 3 player 8 ball and other 3 player games, and you don't need to buy another set of balls.

Same number of balls, same sizes, no additional accessories, set up as normal - 15 inside your triangle - 1 cue ball.

Multiple ways to play the game, like with a deck of cards. A very basic way, a points scoring option, a brutal tactical version... ones with particular shots that could change the frame/rack and more, PLUS an introduction to the game this was all developed for... *drum roll please*

...but you'll have to wait a little bit longer for that. Drumsticks away.

Well they're selling these on the site for the paltry sum of $250 a set. Seems odd they'd still be selling these if the world changing design is coming out any day now. I don't think a different design is going to change much.

This definitely has to be it. On the site they're making a huge deal about how it's THREE 3 PLAYER 8-BALL like they split the atom or something. Same WORLDWIDE taking over the world hyperbole, "We are rolling out globally and you can be a part of it! We are identifying retailers and stockists World Wide of 3 Player sets. We have global patents and trademarks in place"

Multiple ways to play the game, like with a deck of cards.

I never understood this. There are already multiple ways to play the game with a standard set of balls. Hell, you can already even play 3 player 8 ball.

I thought maybe the "problem" they were solving was some kind of strategic thing or something. This is some sad trombone stuff.

Ahahahahaha

It's weird he was talking about setting up league and championship play. We already have 8 ball leagues and championships. There is no reason to set up 3 person 8 ball leagues or championships. I get that you might want to play 3 person if you happen to have 3 people around, but there's no reason to set up a specific thing for it otherwise.
