Help with info about Unique Customized McDermott with Customized It's George case?

I just got this McDermott cue, with 2 extra long shafts, that say Hitman on them, that fit perfectly flush with the McDermott, which has a QR Joint.

The cue came with a unique (customized?) 2/4 It's George pool cue case, that also has Hitman engraved on the back side of the case.

I just find this set to be really interesting, and really unique.

I never seen an It's George case that was made like this, so I assume that maybe it was customized.

The Hitman shafts seem to be of very good quality, and they are super smooth.

The cue seems to have been very well cared for, and everything is very straight.

These items were said to have been purchased at an estate sale, or maybe an estate auction.

Long shot, but maybe someone here knows these items, and knew the owner.

Curious to learn any info about the items, other then the obvious.

Thanks a lot for any info, or thoughts.

i passed on buying this myself even though i really liked the case. it looked like the zipper on the pocket was busted, is it?

The zippers seem to be just fine, but it seems to have a lot of wear on the fabric outside of the zipper. So much that I was scared to unzip it more then half way. Everything seem to be currently intact though. The fabric outside of the zipper just looks very weak to me, it seems. I was scared to unzip it all the way, lol. So, I just zipped it back up, and put those straps, or whatever they are called back over the pouch. Currently, nothing seems to be ripped though, and the zippers work fine..

It was a gamble though, because the seller knew nothing about cues, and the pics were horrible.

Talked to Randy he says man was named Perry but Randy couldn't remember his last name.

Perry was a McDermott dealer and also staked Mondo Canales. Randy thinks Perry died from cancer a number of years ago.

Yup. Looks busted.
Passed on this mess myself.

The zipper still works. The white fabric next to it just got ripped. I assume it could be sewn / repaired, fairly easily, by a sewing pro. The zipper still works though.

The pictures were horrible. Anyone would have passed on the listing. I got him to go down to $270 on it though, which I think was a really good deal.

$270 is good. You put the work in for it.

You might get a new zipper sewn in. But how are those straps attached? As I remember they were sewn on. That damage can be repaired if you know how. But paying someone?

I know how to repair all that and still wasn't willing to work on buying it.

Thanks. I understand. Even at $270, it felt like a gamble, because I really did not know that the McDermott woukd be straight, and I was not even sure that was an It's George case, though, I was fairly sure, due to the style, and cloth tubes, that I could see from the picture.

The zipper is not broken. It is part of the cloth next to the zipper that got worn away, I assume due to age. So, it is not the zipper that needs to be repaired. I assume that just somehow maybe sewing the worm out part of the cloth next to it, that could be sewn, or maybe somehow replaced.

But other then that, it is a fully functional case. Hard to believe that it woukd be a deal breaker, just from that very small rip in the fabric of one of the accessory pouches.

It is still a beautiful case, in my opinion.

I do not know, but I guess those 2 things were put there to help close it. The zipper does work though, but the cloth part woukd need to be repaired, before using it.
