Mosconi cup SOLUTION

The problem, and solution is that the US thinks they're so superior that they can take on multiple countries and compete with them, let alone beat them. I'm American, and I still find it arrogant. It's an us against the entirety of Europe attitude, and they're continually getting their butts handed to them for a reason.
 
The easy answer is to add in Canada so that the US can snag Alex and Morra.

Outside of that, it’s just blatantly obvious that the top contention of Europe is just far superior than the US currently. Iron sharpens iron, and unfortunately for the US the talent level is so good in Europe that they are just continuing to outpace the Americans.

Sad to see, but true.

LOL, you are confusing some of the fans with the players. American players participate for a lot of reasons (obvious one being it's U.S. vs. Europe in a long-established event so they show up) but arrogance isn't one of them - doesn't even make sense.

In my mind this makes the situation much worse. You care so little about your own product, meaning the US players, that you play like that? You go against your own self-interests on top of embarrassing your country, nice.

Speaking as a Canadian with maple syrup running through my veins. Adding John and Alex into the mix wouldn't change anything. Sure the team would be stronger by replacing Billy and Tyler, but that's about it. No where near enough to be competitive.

And most Americans don't want to be cheering on Canadians.

USA-Europe is the rivalry that sells.

I agree with both points. I think the Alex trade would be the best swap. John would be better than most other options.

Bringing Bergman back might help some, but I know he’s not wanting to travel.

Until we get some solid younger players, I think we are going to continue to suffer. I would have personally liked to see Lucas make the team this year over Billy.

When you win big pockets are wonderful. When you lose not so. I am a schlubby league player mostly. At home my pockets are the tightest. I have to really focus while I practice. The tables at the bar are league cut, i.e. big. The game is a lot easier against big pockets. Even so, the center of the pockets HAVE NOT MOVED. I win more because, in my opinion, I focus more.

Maybe take a moment to read up on how the Mosconi Cup got started and who runs it. Americans didn't make the decision to "take on" anyone.
