Don't say that to FargoRate. they keep saying its the same. I'm still not goin for it. If the MC was on bb's we'd still be swimmin upstream. Euro pool is just better these days. They caught up and the US went backwards.

I was referring to his bar table 8 ball game- he is still great in that game. I am joking though because of course they are not going to switch it to bar table 8 ball
the brits are pretty good at that game. not very good at 9ft table pool lately, i believe their second guy is elliot sanderson
same game just easier.... big pockets, no long shots
If you play 9ball / 10 ball, then even clusters are not an issue.
I you practice some 14.1 (on 9ft) then clusters in 8ball on a bar box are not an issue either.

they should brainstorm about how they won in 2018 and 2019. It was basically the same level of talent (if not better now with Gorst on the team).
They are underdogs for sure, but they shouldn't lose this badly every year and should actually win here and there with the right coaching and personnel

Practice more as a team,,, yea ok.

The two times a year I watch 9 ball .
International Open, Woodward vs Yapp.
The crew was in Woodwards corner socializing, sharing whatever on their phones, he engaged, and can hear everything.
It’s all fun and games until he misses the breakout then scratches carelessly .
Suddenly the world came to an end.
Mental and physical distractions kill.
I would have told them to go sit in the bathroom and powder your nose.
They act like it’s a birthday party and everyone’s invited.
It’s 2025, you’re banging heads with killers from around the world.
Woodward was two eyelashes away from winning the International and in control.
If he takes the event down it could have sent him into elite class. It was his time to move up that next click.
I have arrived, mentally, and physically.
They don’t need a coach, they need to work hard 365-24/7 as individuals.
They need people to stop telling them how great they are and slap a dose of reality in their heads. You’re second tier, wake up.

I won't pretend to know even A fix. I do think corglomerate will is the issue. Essentially, no mo heyday.
My view is one of performance skill; clearly absent in Am team. What to do?

when yapp was asked why he practices so much on tournament off hours, he said "it's my job"..
agree on the navy seal thing, but wilson did bring new young players to the forefront. sky, hall, bergman, billy, etc.
I don't have any interest in dumping on the Americans, but we all know that score line would have been far more competitive IF some rudimentary shots weren't handled poorly. That's not to say they would have won the event if those situations had gone as they should. Just that the chatter on this side of the pond wouldn't necessarily have the overtone of doom and gloom.
The team isn't broken. The clutch gene is just lacking in some. Unfortunately, those struggling have had more than enough exposure to figure it out. Maybe if they provided some CPA level time outs to calm their nerves and discuss the potentially bad decisions at those key moments.
