I had rather see a guy run two or three racks in a row than see him miss a ball or two every game because the pocket spit the ball out because he tried to "cheat" the pocket 1/4" to get position.

I think it adds another element to the game, do I try and cheat the pocket or play safe? With the 4" pockets there is no option you will be playing safe, I'd like to see the players have to make a choice and I think we would see more "Z shot" type of shots taken, more exciting for the spectators and the TV cameras too.
