Funky ball sets. WTF

Damn Europeans....

Find a room run by, and for, Americans!
2 1/8 is the American size for snooker balls. I'm guessing that those balls are for Americans to play American pool on American snooker tables. Real snooker balls are about 2 1/16.

American snooker sets also commit the atrocities of numbering the "colours" and having an orange six ball.

Hell with it, make all the balls orange. Just to make @Fatboy happy.

My first introduction to snooker, is a table at Chris’s Billiards that was from the 1989 BCA Trade Show to mark the inauguration of the American Snooker Market.
I was gobsmacked by the size of the table and the balls.
Here’s a couple of shots of the rails.

Is there a reason for the size difference? Someone thought a 10ft table required larger balls?
