Ronnie O'Sullivan does a jump shot - in a snooker match.

He has dipped his toe in the 9 ball world on several occasions. I don't recall it ever working out too good for him...although he may get better results were he to ever dedicate 100% to the game...

Ronnie's participating in pool had the appearance of A Lark. Not much money in pool compared to snooker.
His demonstrated jump skills are one aspect of the difference in the games. Given the proper motivation he could adapt.

Mike Massey was undoubtedly the GOAT when it came to jump shots.
His exhibition included shrink ah flex which is the material the balls are made of.

The gaps are demonstrated er shown to be too tight to pass through. Then the stripe is pocketed because the harder you hit 'em the more they shrink.

It is insanely easy to jump on a snooker table. If it wasn't illegal you'd see it all the time. IMO it should of course remain illegal, but if you actually try you'll see that it is like nothing to pot even long shots. It's the cloth and heavy slate, combined with light balls.

Gotta wonder re Ronnie's coaching in the current semi finals with Zhao vs Xiao. 🤔
As a lesson the one month subscription equals half a lesson charged. 🤷‍♂️
The clear high definition camera work along with astute comments from the eye in the sky of the former Champs. Oh "Champ" was the nick Cocomo employed towards Me! I just assumed he was xalling me chimp as I was born with a beard. 🤷‍♂️

As far as useful in play jump shooters. The best I have seen are Shawn Putnam, Oscar Dominguez and SVB. Shawn stopped competing years ago.

One of the most impressive jump shot artists that I encountered could jump a full ball with the over size cue ball.. That's full ball at 16 inches with the oversized cue ball with Her shooter.
And oh yeah the C tournament that paid 700 for first place had me playing her in the finals. 🤷‍♂️ Go figure. Her name was Debie Hess at that time she shortly after that got married and her last name changed.

Aye that must be why there's all the exhibition shots all over YouTube.
