Joe Rogan - What's in the bag

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but these "what's in the case" series, usually have poor camerawork. And I mean going back 15-20 years when Inside Pool was doing them, and everyone in between. They seem to focus on the player talking, and ignore the cues. The camera should go back and forth, or have two cameras, one on the cues, one on the player, and edit later.

disagree. that SW was sweeet, should have focused more on it. but yea if they're all predator futuristic fuglies, ignore them 😉

Pool is super lucky to have a guy like Rogan taking the time to push the game.

He loves playing pool, its awesome.

Keep in mind that celebrities usually get paid to show up and hawk anything.

You want people to know about famous people who play and who spend money on it. It won’t normalize people spending 5-10 k on a cue or to have a cue collection worth a house, but it might get people to try the game and know it isn’t crazy to spend money on cues. It might get them to at least watch a little.

I don’t think south west is paying him to hawk their cues since currently there is about an 18 year wait for one 😂 but I get what. your saying

Definitely would rather look at the cues than the testicle shaped fanny pack!

Forget Rogan!
What’s in your case?
My case is boring like I am. JB Rugged 4x8 in tweed grey, BK Rush Red wrapless, P3 Golden Curly Maple (radial) w/ 11.8 revo, Pechauer some model with curly maple and BEM (no stain) that I usually play a HOW Flash 12.5 with (converted to radial from uniloc, idk if they ever fixed the epoxy but if you can avoid converting do so), backup z3/314-3 radial shafts, and a predator air 2. Taom chalk (pyro+v10) for years. The P3 is my favorite that I own that gets played but if I'm not in stroke I go with the Pechauer.

What's not in my case is my Diveney:
4 points curly purple heart -> torched BEM (16oz). Trans k kielwood shaft (3.2oz). Modified 3x8/10. It's not extension ready but I don't mind.

.if you haven’t tried it yet, you are missing out. Just make sure the KW shaft is as heavy as the shaft
you currently play with or darn close. I learned the hard way by trial and error so avoid going lower in shaft weight.

The KW shafts in the photos are 29”and 29.5”, flat faced big pin, sans any inserts and match the weight of my cues’
original maple shafts. These shafts’ low defection is superb, the sound of the hit wonderful and are also very durable.

Thank you, sir. Not yet, but I'll keep that in mind. Was definitely taken aback when I noticed it being lighter than the Revo (3.8oz) and slightly lighter than the HOW Flash (3.5oz). Never weighed a z3 but the 314-3 is about 3.6oz

Thanks for the post, few points I noted (Self-notes)

1) Karl's production has gone up tremendously in that particular video with Joe Rogan. It goes without saying that Joe Rogan had some touches/help or comments on the audio quality of the video, which made the video 10 times better than what Karl used to record before in his series of "Whats in the bag".

2) Joe Rogan knows his stuff, equipment-wise. I saw him talk about sharp points, curved points, and that tells me that he really is balls-deep into cues, which is fun to watch.

3) He probably owns a $300k+ worth of cues, I wonder if he doesn't sell them (Because he doesn't have to) then where will these cues end up 50-70 yrs from now.
