Any knowledge about this Tad?

and sell well as there are not that many he made. at least early on.

Right on. Tad started numbering his cues in about August 1978. If you take the bumper off and no number has been stamped in the wood, your cue is pre 1978.
At least that’ll help a bit.
( fyi, I have serial #1, hehehe).

I am not a Cue expert
What is it about this cue that makes everyone so sure it’s a Tad ?
The Tad’s that I have seen have little square wood color rings, not silver rings in the joint collars and elsewhere

tad made mosty plain cues when i saw them around in the very early 70's. only saw them out west. never one in the east.
later on they got ornate.
