I do cue repair and finish carbon fiber shafts and I have never had a wobble. Also McDermott puts a clear coat on them and maybe there’s a high spot. Some people have the clear remov ed.

I got a rear chuck from Chris Hightower it had set screws all around it. I bored it out to fit over the spinal nut and tighten the set screws.
