why is gambling such a BIG part of the game? is there anyone that just likes the game b/c it's fun? there are people that dont even play unless it's gambling involved...to me that person doesnt even like the game...they just love money...and i love money too but i also really like to play pool

thanks mr8ball...i appreciate you offering up the knowledge you have...that is a great thing imo...too many people old to the game want people new to the game to think you got to lose money gambling to get better...that sounds like something a car salesman tells someone right before he BREAKS...

to a certain extent but pool is not the first thing ive competed in...and every other sport it was more b/c people actually had a desire to win...that's might be the problem w/ the sport/hobby...it isnt about the desire to win for people!!! sorry to get off topic but i just dont think someone...

why does it have to be pool is the only sport, hobby that someone has to get broke in to be good at?

i thought the 7 out was the 7,8,9 and the 5 out was the 5,6,7,8,9 as VAPOOLPLAYER described...maybe we just call it that in my area since im als in VA? whatever it is that's a lot of WEIGHT!
