Even with fine 5mm pitch you will still get fast rapids, 400ipm . with 10mm pitch 700ipm and 25 pitch 1300 to 4500ipm Steppers if not over pushing them , they will not lose resolution, If they are high quality motors. its more the controller will not keep up because of high stepping setting
