On Threading, you have bearing retaining , then step down to thread.Then another step down for coupling. Which give you less holding surface for coupling.Which means weaker Better than threading would be to use LOCKTITE bearing retaining compound .But leaves it almost impossible to remove...

There is no problem getting ballscrews threaded if wanted and would not cost anything . I myself find coupling way better

Threaded ballscrew is not a problem, But with double row angular contact you don't need to have nut for preload on bearing because they are already preloaded
