The very best advice I can give you is to take it to a professional cue repairman. I charge $15. to install an elkmaster and it comes out perfect every time.
Play with for a while and if you can't get used to it either sell it of bring it to a cuemaker and get a wrap installed, (they will have to cut a wrap groove, so just keep that in mind as there will be no going back).
It would be nice if someone would enforce the laws regarding how far one can be while smoking from an entranceway. A friend of mine literally calls going through this area "Running the Gauntlet" LOL.
That's how most people seem to use the definition, in other words very minor warp. This is best discussed in the ask the cuemaker section on the forum and has been discussed there many times.
