Why is the threads coming out of my Shaft?

Wow Has the trademark of sloppy joint install - a THICK epoxy job....It can be bored and inserted though for around 30 bucks...

Does Tip Hardness Influence Cueball Deflection?

Good dr... It wont be a partial miscue, it is only this: A harder tip will have upon impact less surface area of contact with the cueball. It simply gives less. This said, spin should increase on a small level with increasingly softer tips. There are some important things to consider...

Do you think Trick Shot Magic is bad for pool?

Celebrity look alike... The one guy from speed pool looks like the idiot from Whose Line Is It Anyway.... Nothin like seein a bunch of slightly out of shape 40 year olds running around a table like Earl is chasing them down with a broken Cuetec.

    last chance Eddie

Wow in my most grady-esque of tones....., " Well Danny, all things transpired, you cross the 15 and apologize to Billy. Its about a 90 Percent make. Oh my Lord, this cue repair thing is frought with peril - this man's service is an abject ignominy" "Yeah, Grady I think this one has a little...

Do you think Trick Shot Magic is bad for pool?

Its perfect.... It brings in those guys that cant make a ball but attempt the three rail tittie jump. Its optimum for breaking in some new 760....When they mix it with speed pool it makes the cloth break in faster......Seriously, the trick shows aren't as bad as EVERY pool movie insisting that...

    The Miz...Never Mizzed...

I hear great stories from the old guys aroun saying Steve came to town here in Jackson posing as a sorghum salesman. He busted Meathead here, tortured ecil Maxwell(STRONG bank player) And proceeded to never miss in his nine ball match up. He would roll out for a long, thin, Stupidly tough...

    1978 Bill McDaniel

I have a 1978 McDaniel with maple forearm, and 4 floating ebony points. Each point has a bone or ivory diamond inlaid and the points are pentagonal (2 long sides, 3 short.) The Butt plate is Ebony/bone/Ivory matching the work up top. It is a one owner cue and was played with - so expect a few...

    Dimple in Phenolic Tip

Wow... When I started back playing last year, I had the same dea. I noticed phenolic caused easier miscues. I flattened the contact spot to increase surface area contact to the cueball. I later actually dimpled the tip in a tad, the problem was to get the dimple large enough ended up...

Best way to start/finish irish linen wrap?

Drill at a slight angle away from wrap. I prefer the small holes, I angle them away from the wrap And stick the first inch or so with loctite. Then a thin film of wood glue. The last hole is tricky, You will just have to trial and error it to work it out to hit right. I also loctite the 2nd...

Why is the threads coming out of my Shaft?

.. My guess is that the joint is not aligned properly, causing one side to mate and the other to have a small, hardly discernable gap. I had a filipino cue do this to an insert. (steel vs. brass)

Does Tip Hardness Influence Cueball Deflection?

Yes, Generaly speaking Tip hardness is generally associated with tip density. Added density is added deflection. I adjust aim through the aging of my tips on my playing shafts, and compensation is MINIMAL. However, I play with a traditional shaft, not a predator. In theory, The Node...

    Lucasi vs. Meucci vs. McDermott

well,.... In the many years I have repaired cues, it is clear that Meucci has gone through many quality transitions, which in my opinion is generally downhill. They went from full splice to inlaid to paint. The Lucasi, since my first one, was a mid range cue in my opinion, as solid as the...

    help?

xtraseal It was an accident to try it, but x-tra seal. It came from a tire patch kit. It was too thin and runny compared to another tire glue, so I patched with some other I had. This tube has to be 2 years old.

    help?

Thaks for input! I do know that cyanocrylate glue, gorilla glue, contact and rubber cement have all failed. I have tried sanding, roughing and smooth. Tire cement has done best so far, fraying the leather with a steel brush and pressing. Of course, I have been using manufactured tips to...

    I lied about my pockets...

From jibberish to english... All I am saying is that side pocket scratches happen mostly because the player forgets the curved path the cueball takes - In the following diagram people tend to see straight lines off the ball and think geometry:D -when physics has more to do with it! It...
