Thank you! Finally found an opportunity to snag a good one locally and jumped on it. Leaving the 8ft table behind has come with some real headaches, the GC has shown me how bad I really am at the game, but that has got me practicing and trying to improve.

I need any help I can get at this stage. Plus side, it would seem that diffusers are not needed with the newer LED panels. !!

Ok, update. I finally…..finally got the Gold Crown light hung. Ball shadows and rail shadows are either totally eliminated or reduced to non issue levels. But I’ve got something new now……ball reflection. Each ball now has reflection of the light fixture which amounts to a warped rectangle...

I'll mount the light this weekend and report back. The initial test yielded substantive illumination, over the table is a complete different ballgame. I suppose it will be worth it to test without diffusion first

Yes, fluorescent ballasts removed and these panels are wired together. The literally just slide in place where the diffusion was formerly. So in present form, there would be no diffusion at all. I could quite easily mount the led panels up higher in the fixture where the old fluorescent...

I'm keen for your input here. My Gold Crown light arrived today; and the LED panels are set to fit right into where diffusers would typically go. I could modify how the lights are mounted to accommodate the louvers.....it wouldn't be too bad, but if it's not really worth it I would save the time.

Well, it would certainly seem as though you have more brilliant light. Do you feel there is playing improvement?
