    router and slitting saw?

Its not a very good mount, but it worked. I'm working on something new right now. I have a rotary tool that has a 1/4 inch collect that I mounted a saw arbor with a 20 thou blade on. I cut some .030 purple heart rings with it, but its burning it a little bit. I think my arbor isn't perfect...

    router and slitting saw?

I made a little fixture to hold my remelt to cut my rings with, but it bogs down and doesn't seem to be very efficient, so I'm thinking about buying a router and using some larger slitting saw blades. Has anyone else tried this? I'm kinda worried that the speed of the router is more than the...

I'm selling this for a friend of mine. Its a purple heart sneaky with a juma hoppe ring and black juma butt cap and joint collars. It has 2 shafts. One original and another by an unknown maker. The original has an ivory ferrule and the 2nd shaft looks to have a juma ferrule. Here's the...

    Chuck recomendations

I had a Buck 3 jaw adjust true chuck on my lathe and it had non reversible outside jaws that were really good at removing fingernails and knuckle meat, so after several warnings and suggestions from my fellow AZ'ers, I began looking for some inside jaws. What I found on ebay was an entire Buck...

Beginer cue maker (25 years old) please advise.

I agree with everyone else that suggests you get the Hightower lathe and books and DVDs. Also, in the future you might wanna consider a metal lathe. I know without my old south bend lathe, life in my shop would be way more challenging. Joe

FS: Schon with 6 sharp points and mitered veneers!

I started building cues and like the ones I've made for myself. So I have no need for this cue. Its a good cue, but I prefer mine. I haven't owned it very long. I took it in on trade. Thanks. Joe

    Getting Started

I agree with you 100% Tom. I didn't believe it when guys told me that, and now I'm right at $10,000 invested in my shop. I bought it pieces at a time, but when you add it all up, its amazing how much cash you put into your shop. And the scary part is, I'm ready to put another $5k into it...
