    High-end Cue maker question

Both above are good answers. Keep in mind also that not every custom is going to feel right to every player. I have hit with some beautiful high end cues I wouldnt want as my player. There are some production cues that play good, but with me, I'd rather have something more one-of-a-kind. Just a...

What do you think of this seam?

My two cents... If you are the person offering the work and you quote someone a price, it doesn't matter if you lose money or not. You should learn to price you work better. Just because you didn't charge the right amount does not give you a free pass because your work is shitty. Maybe the OP...

    This is not a joke

I looked at this thing on eBay which led me to make the post about "can I make my own lathe". I've never owned a lathe big enough to build cues on, so I am definitely not an expert, but even I can tell that machine is not so good. If you are serious about it, put your $200 toward some quality...

If you use a ld shaft does it matter who made the cue???

There are other aspects to the butt of the cue that need to be built well other than just to serve as a piece of wood to hold on to. Sturdy joint, good balance, good wrap...

    Prulhiere Cues

I bought one from him on eBay. I like the cork wrap, I like the solid hit, the workmanship was pretty good considering it was done by hand. I played with it for about a week, sold it and made a $100. I was really wanting it for myself because I liked the wood in the cue and I didnt have much...

Is it possible to build an inexpensive lathe to work on my cues?

Yes, I have kept my eyes open on Ebay, but I havent seen many cue lathes lately. I had forgotten about AZ until recently, and I think my luck may be better here.

Is it possible to build an inexpensive lathe to work on my cues?

Well, I am interested and I am pretty intuitive with woodworking. I could get another shaft, but I'd never learn. Money really isnt the problem, but I dont want to be wasteful and buy something expensive, only to realize that I dont have the patience. I have been interested in cue construction...

Is it possible to build an inexpensive lathe to work on my cues?

Well, first of all I know its possible. Would it be cheaper and better to just spend the money to buy a Cue Companion or similar? I'm tired of having to mail my cues off every time I want some work done and am looking for a solution.

    Custom cues made in Philippines

I bought this cue from Joel Davidas and it seems to be pretty good. Hits solid, workmanship is good. The other cues you see on eBay with all the abalone an inlays seem to not be too good. My friend has one that doesnt joint together correctly. Its almost 1/8" offcenter
