Did I mention that my test also waives my liability to any and all injuries or property damage resulting from said test ! :-D 18 MPH is a good speed for this test - I dont recommend hitting with ur break speed if ur a 20MPH+ breaker ! :-D

LOL - yep good point - I was just using my break speed cause it was a little easier to try & be consistent with my (wimpy) hitting speed. If you can make a reliable 18 MPH stroke - please post me ur results. :-) Cheers

For sure - great for slow speed tests into the rail - cloth speed would affect rail response tests big time at slow speeds though ?

For sure having rails that are *too lively* would be a problem also. I guess the up & down test at a known speed is maybe only good for comparison if ur worried about them playing too slow / being a bit dead ? This 9 rail test sound interesting - is this the ball path to achieve the 9th rail...
