New game to try out, opinions wanted...

Thanks for the link, I have never heard of Fargo before... and you are right, they are similar in nature. And yes, it does bear many similarities to my dad's Q-Skill game as well, we discussed that when I showed it to him... Hopefully these games will all add to the range of games available for...

New game to try out, opinions wanted...

Cool, thanks! Ideally, for competition purposes, you'd want to play something like 4 racks for a best possible score of 300 or 12 racks each for a best possible score of 900. It can be adjusted for whatever length of time you feel like playing... Over the course of more and more racks, two...

New game to try out, opinions wanted...

OK, no problem... just thought it would be more convenient to provide links :) If this is better, then here it is: INTRODUCTION Straight Rotation is a game that neutralizes lucky rolls, provides a quantitive way to measure ability, and gives both opponents an equal chance at winning. This game...

New game to try out, opinions wanted...

Hi everyone, I came up with a new game format, and I would be interested to see what you all think. It borrows heavily from existing games, and no special equipment is needed - you can play it today. It helps to use a scorecard, but it can be played without and I have those for free download on...

Hello, and thanks! Please feel free to share your feedback, positive or negative, with us. You can post it here, or better yet email us at info@superbilliardsexpo.com (this address sends a copy to me and dad simultaneously). I am not shy to have criticism posted here in public view, it's just...

    SBE 2012 Constructive Criticism

This is a great idea, thanks - I will pass it along to the director of that event. And just so everyone knows for future reference, there was a page devoted to the 3-Cushion event which identified players and brief titles, as well as a 2-page spread in the book devoted to the WPA Artistic event...

    We Get What We Deserve

Sorry for any confusion, I never said that you, or anyone, *said* those remarks, I merely stated that they were implied. I agree, this is a discussion forum, and I am merely addressing the issues that have been discussed. I welcome any and all points of view, for if the show is going to...

    We Get What We Deserve

I posted a quite lengthy explanation of several aspects of the 2012 Super Billiards Expo in another thread. I believe proper forum etiquette dictates that I don't re-post here, so I won't unless it is requested. However, I would like to point out that the venue we chose is also deemed an...

    SBE 2012 Constructive Criticism

Thanks everyone, we're listening... Thanks everyone for being a fan and supporter of the show! We are grateful for all of your support over the years, and appreciate your feedback on the event. Since we had no other choice but to find a new venue for this year, I was expecting there to be lots...

Super Billiards Expo - Info Thread

All amateur events are played on Diamond BarBox Tables 3.5 x 7, as is stated in the description of each event. I apologize for the map being misleading, those were the dimensions we used when planning out the layout for the new venue, that's all. Artistic tables will be 4.5 x 9 tables, unless...

Super Billiards Expo - Info Thread

Sorry Rich, you are correct. I just figured I was speaking "directly" to him and was trying to save myself some time. I will try and be more thorough in the future. In either case, if anyone else is curious, here was our exchange: *************** David Grebe Few Questions: 1) How late are...

Has anyone suggested Magic Rack to Allen Hopkins for SBE?

Bill Westley's racks will be used in the Pro Arena because they are a beautiful and well constructed rack. They will not be used throughout the Amateur Arenas. He does make some very nice racks, if anyone wants to see, visit his website: http://www.billwestleyracks.com/

Super Billiards Expo - Info Thread

I will double check on this and find out for you. It is not really that there is a fee to come in and watch the warm up, moreso that the tables will be open all night for people to play after the event (until 6 in the morning) - this typically costs just $10 to play all night.

    Super Billiards Expo $15 bucks

Just so you know, we don't allow that. If we see it, we stop it. Of course, there are lots of people and it's hard to catch everyone. If you do see someone doing this, let us know and we will inform them and make them bring their dealer case outside and not allow them back in with the case. We...

Has anyone suggested Magic Rack to Allen Hopkins for SBE?

I also told her that my dad was looking into exactly what type of rack is being used, and would let her know once I heard back. I'll answer it on facebook then as well :) I'm fairly certain that the racks in the amateur events are just whatever Diamond supplies with the tables that we rent from...

Allen Hopkins Sanctions with the ABP

I will see if I can help: 1. The SBX has followed the rules regarding prize money as requested by the ABP. 2. The pro event (the only event that the ABP sanctioning applies to) will be run by the rules that my father and the ABP decide is best. Since our event has been going on for many years...
