How many times have you heard this?

When I was young and hungry for action....back in the late 80's/ early 90's, that lil phrase would open up my nose full. I never lost a match to a guy who said "I put myself through college playing pool". I used to love hearing that lil phrase :)

    9ft GC on 2nd story

A Gold Crown weighs about 1,000lbs or so... No different than having 5 guys standing up there. You shouldn't have a problem as far as weight goes. Just be sure there are no sharp angles to get up, such as stairwells. Sounds like it will be a great game room.

    Practicing 6-8 Hours A Day

I would work on shooting myself.....seriously, I can only practice about 45 minutes before I just get tired of looking at the balls. It's another story if I'm in action, then I can play for 10 hours straight :)

I wish Justin Bergman would have played in more points events to get qualified. He is definitely better than at least 3 of this current team. I will still root for the USA all the way!!!

Did Ken Schuman Shortchange Ko in His Match Against Shaw?

What if Corey broke and ran a few racks while Oi was gone? Can you imagine coming back from a restroom break and seeing the score had changed by 5 games in your opponents favor? LOL

    Mosconi in the Army

WWII, my father was an only child and did not get drafted like many of his friends. He ended up enlisting in the Marines anyways, it was for the "duration" of the war. Nobody knew at the time how long it would last. He ended up serving 39 months, mostly in the south Pacific. I heard many stories...

    Ruling please

On a "push out", I can think of a couple scenarios that would require hitting the lowest number on the table. 1) The low ball is very close to a pocket but you have another ball blocking your shot. In this case you may opt to kick at the ball so it won't be near the pocket for your opponent. 2)...

Should the ref stop a player from fouling?

If the ball is obviously coming to a stop and is not near any balls or a pocket, I see no harm. I know by the letter of the law it is a foul but Cmon.... I see many fans complain about not having shot clocks and then we want to bicker about a guy wanting to pick up a slow rolling cue ball which...

    Corey/Billy

Corey Deuel and Billy Thorpe are the last two from the United States. Both of them are on the loser side and may end up playing/knocking one of them out. Pool has definitely changed over the years when it would be all US in the finals. I'm hoping one of these guys can pull it out :)

US Open Thursday Morning --Who's left?

Interesting. Corey Dueul is in the final 8 on the winners side and there isn't much talk about him at all. Didn't they adjust the break after his 2001 win?

comment on my level of play makes no sense

USAPL is geared more for lower rated players. It is similar to APA as to the cap on points per team. I don't know all the details but this is what I've been told by their League Operator.

Should pros be allowed to rob amateur events?

It really depends on the format. If it's a short race to 2 or 3 games, you may have a chance to win against a Pro. If the races are to 7ish, you have very little chance. If they use some type of handicap system, like Fargo, you may have a 7/3 race for example. This puts more pressure on the Pro...
