I've tried and owned the OB1 (original), OB Classic Pro, and have tried a friends OB2. I currently use no product from OB but after hitting with the new OB Classic Plus, I may just order one for my custom cue. The hit is much more solid like a standard shaft and the feel and sound is great...

Next time you go there, change the cyclop cueball out for a measle cueball and see if the skid amounts change. It could be a result of the cueball being too light for the object balls. (as the red circle cueball is to the aramith balls).
