As long as no money was exchanged at the outset, I don't see why this is a problem. Is there a risk that you won't get paid? Yes, of course. But that's the worst that can happen. As least you wouldn't be losing anything out of pocket if the transaction goes south.

Anyone else see a pattern here? The pattern is that no two posters have recommended the same tip. It's a very, very subjective thing, and what works for one may not always work for someone else. Tips are relatively inexpensive, so do yourself a favor and try a few out. See what works best...
