    Need Philippines information

Why would you pretend to be Canadian in a country that loves Americans? Perhaps you should start by reading a little Philippine history. Taking the time to acquaint yourself with the history of the country will go a long way towards endearing you to the Filipinos you meet.

    honest opinion of commentary

Spanky, I think you spend way too much time commenting on the chat. If I'm watching two world class players I expect the commentary to be at that level. Perhaps it would help if you did a little research before a match and find out: have they played before? What was the outcome? Have they...

    Trying to go Pro.

I remember hearing many years ago that an excited kid asked a famous professional player, I believe it was Buddy Hall, "What's the first thing I need to learn to be a pro?" And the Pro replied, "How to get comfortable sleeping in your car".

What is it about playing pool that makes it so addictive?

In !987 I walked downstairs for the first time into the fragrant semi-darkness of the old Hollywood Billiards on Western and Hollywood. I stood watching some action for awhile. What is it about playing pool that makes it so addictive?

There are some professions out there where you don't get laid off and you can make great money. Your time would be far...

    Trying to go Pro.

You've been out of work for over a year, yet, you are playing 20 hrs of pool a week? How is that a responsible plan for taking care of your family? I just don't get it. Spend the time getting an education in a field with a future. Your family will thank you.

    Trying to go Pro.

Applying all the hours you'll need to become real professional pool player to almost any endeavor in the commercial/business world will reap far greater rewards. There are very, very few professional pool players who make even $60K after a lifetime of sacrifice, dedication and practice. That's...

The book is priceless in the knowledge you will get from the experience of the great players who contributed. It is simply the finest book on one pocket. $200-$250, I think, is the market value with the signatures.
