    Have a pernambuco cue and like it. Pings nicely. Kind of a burnt orange color with moderate figure. Pretty expensive wood to source I think.

    To me spending top dollar on those new break cues is like shelling out $100k for a car to use at the drag strip. $10k to $30k with the appropriate modifying would work fine.

    I agree with the Varney inclination. Mine has those exact rings and no signature with a Radial pin. Is yours 3/8 x 10?

    You've got some good advice here, enjoy your trip. Crime has increased in the city the last few years, so be vigilant, some on here don't like to hear that for political reasons, but it's worth mentioning for a foreign tourist.
