corey played in one a few months backI am very surprised not seeing Shane or Corey...8-ball masters.
Not if they were smart. US players won't play those tiny tables with snooker balls.I wonder if their intention is to change eventually to English-style tables and balls. The rules specify reds and yellows rather than stripes and solids. The table seems not to be specified in the rules, other than having six pockets. What American pool players would call the headstring or line is marked at 20% of the table length from the breaking end, not 25% (between the diamonds).
I think it's being funded by main part of the company in the UK. They see a good market for 8-ball in the US and they're going after it. If they continue, it will be interesting to see whether they get new players or they take players away from the current US leagues.I think ultimate pool does a great job, but I can’t help but wondering how are they making money off of this venture? What is the revenue source?
They have league all across the country. So the tables aren't regulated. The CEO was commenting during the second day stream in KY and said they are working with Brunswick on tables.I wonder if their intention is to change eventually to English-style tables and balls. i've seen blackball played on 6ft's too but i guess 7' is the tournament size.i think the table size is the same. maybe the tiny balls and the often hefty players (no dig, just an observation) make it seem smaller, but i think it's 7ft.
seriously doubt their ambition is to have english tables / balls in the US. different size CB is such a dumb step backwards in pool evolution.
