Jimmy M , In case you have not noticed, you already have Kim's Mechanics. :) IMO Max Eberle has the most text book of Mechanics.

I had one of his cues in the mid 90's a beautiful cocobolo and ebony cue. It had a phenolic joint and and the hit was fantastic. Not at all whippy.
