When I started playing years ago, break cues didn't seem like they were a big thing, but now it seems like even the regular league players all have a break cue. I've owned a few myself and to be honest, I never really stuck with one long enough to learn how to put it to good use. Now I'm back...

IMHO, offense is much easier on an 8-footer playing 1P and defense is a little tougher... mostly because you can't leave your opponent a really long shot that they will think twice about.

I ran a 40 before my straight pool league match on 02/25/2012 for a new high this year. During the league match I couldn't muster more than 16 or so! :( (8-foot table disclaimer!)
