    Cloth color choice.

I have Blue at home and think it's the best looking by far, but everyone has their own favorite. However if you are having trouble chosing maybe going to the link below will mean you won't have to chose OMG  http://unclejerrystiedye.com/products/all/pool_01/index.html

    Best Snooker Cue

Wow........7GBP for membership and a cue, man that would make the cue about 20p:) That means if he spent 50GBP on it he'd have been better off buying a membership for everyone in his family including the dog and selling the other cues at a Car Boot!

    Best Snooker Cue

Hollywood, what were you thinking man buying a Riley? That's like going out here and getting a Cuetec, Rage or Players for about $30. Wity is right they haven't made cues themselves for years, I remember them being crap when I was in the UK and looking for a cue 20 years ago. If you pay your...

    Tap Pool League

Are you from the APA? I noticed you only just registered. There is too much bashing here of all Leagues. There is always someone who will be unhappy in any situation, the question should be are the Majority of your players happy? It would seem, at least in TAP, that they are.

Should I Have Done Things Different?

Tom It would seem to me that you have answered your own question with the statement "I'm having more fun than I ever had, playing and teaching the game now". It would seem to me the worst thing anyone could do is look back and think what if? My Dad used to tell me that the decision you make at...

2010 US Open 9 Ball Championship - An Open Letter from Barry Behrman

AkaTrigger you are 100% correct in what you say, if the letter hadn't been published most of us would never had heard about it and there would be no thread about it. I don't know Barry, but I do know Kelly and have talked to her about this subject, albeit briefly, so will someone write an open...

    8 ball rule

There are so many different rules it's difficult to remember where you are at times, I therefore make it a point to always call the 8 ball whenever, wherever or whoever I am playing. Nobody's going to get pissed or question you about calling the 8 ball I imagine.

    Sandbagging at APA National level

Pooln8r that is clearly an obvious case of sandbagging and many people would find this particular case amusing and whilst I can appreciate that it's blatantly cheating. I hope I would have found it sad and annoying, but in all truth I couldn't say that as I have never seen that or anything close...

Are you willing to put in the time?

I put in whatever time I can, unfortunately I am not wealthy enough to be able to play 7 hours a day even once a week let alnone twice, as I have a job. You are correct about the pro's they do practice and for long periods of time. I read an artcile with SVB not long ago where he said when not...

    Mosconi Cup 2010

I just talked to someone else Friday night who played at the club in Kings Cross recently and also gave it the thumbs up. It's not very far from Kings Cross to the York Hall area a short tube or bus ride away. I have also had a few people PM me letting me know they are thinking of going and...

    Sandbagging at APA National level

On this last point I would have to agree with Mike, cheating happens in a lot of places and a lot of sports. It's a sad reflection on a society where many see winning at any cost as acceptable. In the end it comes down to individual responsibility a player has to do what's right. It is very...

    Sandbagging at APA National level

Can we also have those Lie Detectors hooked up to Electro Shock Therapy. I would have two clamps for hooking up to individuals and every time they lie they get a shock right through the 'Gonads'. :yikes: Any Sandbaggers, whether you believe it actaully happens or not, have no class, no morals...

    Best Snooker Cue

I am not too sure these days after being away from the UK for a few years. I always thought JP made good cues but from what I have heard he no longer makes them himself as he used to when I had one from him. Spoke to a good friend of mine and he has just bought himself a cue from Craftsman...

    Sandbagging at APA National level

All as I mentioned earlier I am pretty new to all this. Do the APA or TAP have a competition where you can enter any team, any handicaps without the 23 or 25 rule?

TAP launches new web site and reports record growth

Sam I love playing in TAP at Marietta Billiards and don't see me changing. We have the best League Operator in Terry you'll find anywhere. He will do anything for you and besides that is one of the nicest people you'd ever wish to meet. I love the new website and TAP really appears to be going...

    Sandbagging at APA National level

Pooln8r Thanks for the explanation and I do get it (sandbagging) but I also don't get it, if you know what I mean. It's just alien to me, trying to lose just to maybe help in your next match is a concept I simply don't understand. If these 'sandbaggers' are genuinely good players shouldn't...

    Sandbagging at APA National level

I am fairly new to Pool and only play TAP currently, I guess I won't be asked to play APA. I have one objective and one only when I reach the table, beat the other player every rack as quickly and easily as I can. I will never throw a game, don't ask me too it ain't going to happen. If you do I...

    Getting Youth Interested IN POOl

Some great ideas here from lots of different people. I still believe IMO the starting place may not be schools, rather getting school kids involved. However 'we' need help from people to get this started, from Pool Room Owners, suppliers etc. If one of the major organisations, BCA for instance...
