Wanted!!! Mint original Black Boar AS-10

concerning logos there are very few (maybe 5) BB cues that were ever made by Tony without the logo. But people that might replace the butt cap on their cue using another cuemaker, they can't do the logo.--I dont have any idea how many of these are out there. I feel that a cue without the logo...

    LTB Black Boar Shaft

no change Eric, Tony has never changed the pin from a 5/16 x 14 and they have all been precision ground and polished for the last 15yrs+. I have over 125 of his shafts and they all are the same and they fit on any of his BB butts. it sounds like your shaft got damaged or cross threaded somehow...

Latest Cue Tattoo Creations from Castillo Leather Goods

wanted/for sale I like your creativity, and I think your work is very nice looking, but in an effort to not clog up the main thread with people trying to sell stuff, I think your stuff would do better in the wanted/for sale section.

    Josey vs. Olney cues

you should hit with both of them and make your decision, everybody is slightly different based on their playing style and their individual stroke. So only your opinion is what is important for your game.

New cue ... new way to look at 4 points...

how is it constructed My only questions pertain to how it will hold up and how it will play. -is it sleeves over a core---good -is it many pieces bolted together with flat face seams--bad but overall I really like the new look, but I still prefer veneers on both sides of points in cues.

    would you part with this*******SHOWMAN*********

Steve, First, why do you want to sell, I know it's not for the $, so are they taking up too much space?- if so then mount them on the walls in display cases, that's what I did with all the BB's. if you don't want to do that then buy some gun safes, bolt them to the floor, control the humidity...

    The very best case

If you don't have a very good air tight seal on the case then everything else is just for physical damage and looks. The air tight seal allows the best protection from wide swings in the atmospheric humidity changes. these big swings in humidity from day to day are what cause the most damage in...

    More elbow dropping nonsense

I believe the pendulum stroke is great for beginners. Because it is simple and requires very little timing. I believe when you drop the elbow or snap the wrist you are bringing a second or third joint into the motion and ensuring you have an accelerating stroke at the moment of contact. This is...

    What is a Black Boar?

Yes, 2003 -This was when Lucky and Tony worked out their agreement (I'm going off memory but I think that is the right timeline) --- Lucky wanted everything that Tony could produce. They actually ran into each other in Valley Forge and Lucky was very intrested in Bb because he had put on a test...

I'm schooling you with that inside information. - -You have not provided information, you have made accusations and insuations, You are the one trying to re write history. - He took delivery of more than 10 cues, - -I never disputed this, he cut up the last 10 because Bill wanted to renegotiate...

    What is a Black Boar?

    1. Manufacture the other parts of the cue. (Shafts, handle, butt, etc) - -The cue came from Mcdaniel as a blank requiring minimal work, and they were finished in Tim's shop. Tony built every thing on those blanks except the linen wrap, which he recalls that Tim did those. - 2. Properly assemble...

    What is a Black Boar?

Hangemhigh- You don't have any idea, just regurgitating what you have been spoon fed. Those first cues don't get built without Bill and Scruggs, and the shop they were made in, which was not in the basement with the CNC. Inlays might have been done there, but nothing else. Other maker's cues...

    What is a Black Boar?

Tommy, Now you are the one who is overstating the facts, - -There wasn't "Tutelage" going on, they were 3 friends, Tony was helping them sand, and spray the cues so they could get them out the door. Tony was not working for them, he was helping them. -They have always shared their knowledge and...

    What is a Black Boar?

Tommy, First of all let me say that as you know, Tony, Tim and Mike are all Great friends, their relationship goes back probably 30+ years and they have each helped each other out with various things, both personal as well as business over the many years. I think that there is nothing that they...

    What is a Black Boar?

I'm sorry you take offence to how I worded my statement about Tony working with Tim, But If you read ALL my posts here you will see that I state that Tony did tips, shafts, wraps, etc and Later after you specifically brought up inlays, I adressed that as well. As far as insulting me about how my...

    What is a Black Boar?

Those PJ cues that your talking about from the 4 point days were the cues from the FS series- some of those didn't have points http://www.blackboarcustomcues.com/build/default.asp?CTID=211&IID= -here is a copy of the 1992 catalog that shows some of the "no point" cues - About the break cues...
