would you part with this*******SHOWMAN*********

Hey Steve,
This would mean that all your Gina's, Manzino's, and Black Boars would be the first X,Y and Z's to go.., and a list of others..
I'm a big fan of old school, as you are too..
But, I know we both have some fuel injected cars mixed in with the carbureted ones. New technology doesn't make it bad, just different..
Keep your favorites, let the others go..
Best,
Ken

You're right.. however...

Out of all the cues you've posted, this one in particular stands out to me. It might not be the most expensive one you have but there's something with the way it flows. I would keep that one if I were you.

Steve,I think you should let me store your "maybe" cues until you can make a rational decision. That should cut back on the nightmarish sleepless nights until we can get this resolved! Share the love brother;) Sincerely-Jimmy(the showman)McDonald:D

I have a 03 Murci I bought new for $261K which was $20K back of window, I have a friend who owned a dealership, there was $30K Gross on them at the time. Its been a great car zero problems with 13K miles on it. It might be worth $120 full pop, I have seen a feew Murci's at or just under $100K, they probably have 9 previous owners or 80,000 miles, or been crashed.

I know about the muscle car market too-its alot smarter, I had a friend who died the day after Michael Jackson-he OD'ed as well. he had over $10M in cars the old stuff and the new. He told me that his profit on the old stufffrom flipping them at auctions more than covered his losses on the new toys. Thats smart biz. I wasnt that into it, so I took my licks, I made $$$ on 3 or 4 cars in my life but that wouldnt cover what I have lost. For a few minutes ALL my lablos except the Murci were worth double what I paid for them-but I missed that oppertunity.

I say sell it. If you're really going to take outside opinions into consideration, then it can't mean that much to you. If it DOES mean that much to you, then selling it wouldn't be an option. If this is just an excuse to repost pictures of your cue and get more comments from people, well... mission accomplished.

Steve,
First, why do you want to sell, I know it's not for the $, so are they taking up too much space?- if so then mount them on the walls in display cases, that's what I did with all the BB's. if you don't want to do that then buy some gun safes, bolt them to the floor, control the humidity inside and just store them.
But in my opinion there is no reason to sell them.

Craig, For years i had 16 cues in a fabulous display case in my pool table room. % years went by and not a soul out of about 400 people that were in there over that period, ever looked at any of them. Thats what makes it so much fun being able to share these cues with other cueaholics.

The total is just getting out of control.

Steve, I think you should keep yours and Craig should sell me bus driver's old 6-point BB.
Sounds like a good idea, right Craig? l.o.l.

Chris, thanks for helping me out here. It was a rather nice dig at my character, which certainly pissed me off for a few minutes.....LOL

I sure hope that most people on here, know that I put up pics to share the pics with people that love cues and may not have a chance to see some of them.

Hey Steve
I certainly enjoy seeing the pictures you post. For me the enjoyment of owning pool cues cars or any other collectable is sharing them with people that don't have a chance to see them. We have a group of guys here where I live that have original cobra's. We go on 4 to 5 runs a year to get out and let the public see them. It is incredible the joy people get out of seeing cars that rare. Like the cues you have they are either works of art or very important cues that pay tribute to past and current makers. I love to see the pictures and keep them coming.

Rep to you Sir!

IN reality I would hate to have to choose between any of your cues Steve, because I know they are the best of the best. Whether it's the old school stuff or the newer stuff, you got the goods, no doubt about it.

You mentioned the fact that you enjoy the fact that others enjoy them as well. I recommend that you put together a travelling road show and hit the major cue shows with a display of some sort. I know there are many of us out there who would love to see cues that we may never have an opportunity, or the money, to own. I the case of this specific cue, I would probably opt to sell. Although it may be your only Showman, he is still making cues, and is for the most part, still relatively young. You can always commission him to make another. I would probably do as others have mentioned, keep the ones that are not replaceable. Except for your Spain cue. You can send that one to me! I love his work, and would like a couple more examples to go with the one I have.

Good luck. Don't get too worked up over it. I doubt that your intentions when you bought/designed any cue was to worry about what others through of them. I would think it was the joy it gave. My joy is in the hunt and the find.

Take care.
